M.A.H.I. TIP OF THE WEEK:
PLANNING ON RECORDING YOUR FIRST SONG IN THE STUDIO?
Studio Preparedness is very important when recording a song. Before going into the studio, plan and establish all background vocals, ad-libs, and lead vocals. Time is money and money is time. Many new artists go into the studio on a whim, and end up wasting time in the studio due to lack of preparation. As a result, more money is spent correcting the lack of planning rather than enhancing with passion and creativity a pre-mapped plan. It is also imperative to know the song content when ad-libbing, so that the message stays relevant throughout the entire song. Go beyond the 'oohs' , 'yeahs', 'uh huh's', and 'aahs', and tell a story through your ad-libs. It makes a big difference in the interpretation and delivery of your song!
